Green Meadows Petting Zoo Video Collage

This is a small dose of what we experienced at the Green Meadows Petting Farm this year.

Video #1: Reagan milked a cow- This video doesn't really do her bravery justice, since she walked away rather quickly to blow a kiss, wave to the cow and suck her thumb- but I was proud of her attempting the milking process! I wasn't brave enough! LOL

Video #2: Reagan meeting the Momma Cow's Baby; Tipper (he had a white marking on the tip his tail)

Video #3: "Duck! Duck! Duck!" Reagan loved talking to the Duck, but was not quite into petting him, she enjoyed jumping with Charlotte much more! Please notice the man at the end of the video whose baby duckling runs away from him! Hysterical!

Video #4: Petting the sheep! There were tons of sheep in here just about running Reagan over, but she didn't seem to mind! I apologize for happening to be recording while a sheep decided to take a poo poo in my video! YUCK! And it was nearly on Reagan! EEK!

Video #5: Feeding the sheep

Video #6: Petting the loner goat

Video #7: James and Reagan petting the loner goat

DISCLAIMER: NO ANIMALS WERE INJURED IN ANYWAY WHILE TAPING THESE VIDEOS, AND JUST IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING, THERE WAS USE OF A LOT OF HAND SANITIZING DURING THE DAY. :)

**One of our great friends, Jamie, who is also born on December 19, is a VET and I say that Reagan could grow up to be just like Jamie b/c she has a LOVE for all animals!

Pumpkin Patch Take 2

Last Saturday was cool! Yah Whoo! It was about 60 degrees for a few days over the weekend, and Reagan, Daddy and I went out to the Pumpkin Patch again to get a BIG pumpkin to carve. We got some Winnie the Pooh carving stencils- and we will post a picture WHEN we finally carve it! :) I very rarely get a picture of the two mini-me's together so I LOVE this one! And the one on the bottom is "SO REAGAN!"

Animal Kingdom, Florida, October, 90 degrees!

HOT James and Reagan on the "Choo-Choo"

Jen, James, Reagan and I with our pal, GOOFY! (James was a bit hesitant)
............BUT he loved being with Minnie! :) I love this picture!

Video below is Reagan petting the sheep, and if you didn't already know what a sheep "says", I'll tell you......... (LOL)

Friday's are normally our "playgroup" play dates and we've really been slacking on attendance because Reagan and I BOTH are exhausted by the end of the week from school, and other activities we just aren't up to more on Friday- BUT on this day we made an exception. A few of the Daddy's of kids in the group work for Disney World, and we were able to get in free one afternoon. It would have been wonderful had the weather treated us nicer! It was 90 degrees..... in OCTOBER!! It literally was MISERABLE! But, we managed and had a wonderful time playing. Jen, James, Reagan and myself stayed after everyone else and had fun watching The Lion King Show, and meeting characters! We even went on a "Choo-Choo" and petted some sheep! Over all it was a FREE day at Disney with great Friends, which can't be beat!!

Hair-DO

Reagan found my hairdryer, (Sarah, can you believe I still have this, it was from Dad's!) she decided she wanted to blow her already dry hair
- It was so funny watching her! She LOVED it! I have temperature controls on this hairdryer. and so I put it on "cool".

PUMPKIN PATCH 2009

PUMPKIN PATCH 2009

Reagan has a "thing" right now for OWL's, not sure why, but I bought her a new pair of PJ's once with an OWL on it, and ever since then, her and Adam have been "hooting" for months, AND the only PJ's she wants to wear is the OWL, and really doesn't ever want me to take it off either! But, I saw this shirt and knew she'd love it! PLUS, it worked well, for Halloween "Orange"! I had to laugh when Adam told her, "this will be the closest thing to a HOOTER'S girl, you'll ever be!"
She loves the shirt, even though it's long sleeved, and she picked out her shoes for today also, green ballet slippers. (the ones from her "lollipop photos in July") - she's never been able to wear them, b/c she CAN'T keep them on her feet, AND they didn't match one bit, but WHATEVER, it wasn't worth the fight! :) At least she looked cute! It was nearly 90 degrees, it felt like, But I always like to dress her up like "fall" for these pictures, even if it is "FAKE"- LOL!

Doesn't she look SO BIG here!? I can't believe it!

We met our friends James and Charlotte to play at the Pumpkin Patch this morning, and then we had a Pizza Party at James' house! James kept saying, "Pizza Party, Pizza Party!"

Mommy and Reagan!
(Please ignore the ugly band aid, on my arm, Adam has passed Poison Ivy onto me, and I'm trying my hardest not to pass it on to Reagan, Or scratch it, so I'm keeping it covered!)

I hate to admit it, but Reagan's learned how to PICK HER NOSE! Yuck! I really thought only BOYS did that, (j/k) But she's had an ongoing clear, runny nose, which I'm learning from my friends with kids in school settings is called "the daycare running nose" - according to friends, it's a constant running nose, that means nothing it's just from the kids sharing germs during the day- So, now that her nose runs, ALOT- she shoves her finger up it! YUCK! I'm working on the manners now! :)

"Ring around the Rosies"- the kids enjoyed walking, holding hands, but couldn't figure out how to actually do it without ending up in a circle! :)
Sweeties!- Look at how sweaty they got from running around!

"God is Great, God is Good......."

So long highchair, this kid is growing up, and ready for the "big" table!
We have retired the highchair to the garage, and Reagan is now eating at the dining room table in a booster seat, or eating at her picnic table. This is a BIG step in our house, b/c it requires lots more cleaning up, but it helps Reagan learn to sit like a "big girl" and eat with us! She's doing great, and I TRUELY enjoy mealtimes together!
We say the blessing at every meal and she is now saying it in her own version.
Enjoy the video!

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! WE WENT TO THE POTTY!

Yesterday afternoon Reagan went Tee Tee in the POTTY!!!!! It was quite accidental, and shocked me to death! She ran to her potty before I could put a fresh diaper on her, and she closed the door behind her. I followed in after her, and saw wet spots on the bathroom rug, and I was planning on cheering her on even if she had "missed" the potty, and as I began cheering, she stood up and she had ACTUALLY gone ALOT in the potty!
We were very excited for her!
She didn't go again today, but it is fun to sit on and read (like below) So that's a start! :
:)

Look at how they've grown!

There's pretty much NO words to describe how funny, surreal, and adorable this comparison picture is below!
I can't believe how quickly a year has gone by, and how much James and Reagan have grown! We truly LOVE and CHERISH our friendship with the Olson Family!

And James is ALREADY learning how to put the moves on girls in cars! AHH OHH! :)

.... "hmm, what's back here......" (sneak my arm around her) ........
:)

Art By: Reagan Haynes

Reagan's really getting into art, and at school every Monday and Wednesday, she is bringing home the cutest art work, and I know that has to be one of her favorite parts of her day!
These are some tub crayons I got her and she just LOVES to draw, just about anywhere!

Thanks Izzy!

Look at what came in the mail for Reagan a few weeks ago?! It's our favorite chair! Can you tell??

Babies and Bums

NOTHING IS CUTER THAN A DOG AND A BABIES BUM. ;)

From Ponytail to Bangs!

We have been excited about Reagan's hair growing out, it's finally been long enough for a "sort of" ponytail! (which is great, since she's going to be a "50's" girl for Halloween, I wanted her hair in a little ponytail with a scarf like ribbon) :)
Anyway, last week, Adam's hairdresser and I had a confusion of hair cutting direction (you could say) and instead of "trimming" up Reagan's bangs, she CHOPPED THEM OFF! I was very upset at first, but they are beginning to GROW on me! :)

Where's Reagan and Carter!?

Reagan and Carter are really great buddies, and play together nearly everyday- one day while Jenny and I were tending to Carter's twin sisters, Reagan and Carter ran into "Daddy Carter's" closet and were "hiding" from us!
Double click to see them.... if you can't! (LOL)

"ROLL TIDE, ROLL!"

Well, as most of you know, it is FOOTBALL season now, and COLLEGE FOOTBALL is a BIG deal at the HAYNES House!......... Let me correct that, ALABAMA COLLEGE FOOTBALL is a BIG deal here at the HAYNES House!
This past Saturday Reagan learned how to cheer with her Daddy for the Crimson Tide!
Enjoy this video! :)

(Don't worry TEXAS folks, I'm still rootin' for TECH every Saturday too!....... They just need to up their game a little bit!) ;) ...... But there will always be a place in my heart for Texas Tech!
(Adam is all decked out in his hunting gear, from an early morning hunt that morning)- NO, he doesn't normally wear these camo tights every football Saturday! ;P

Britney Spears, CIRCUS

I have NO excuse for being SUPER behind on blogging except that our computer was on the fritz for over a week, AND I erased a WHOLE memory card of photos while at the Britney Spears concert!! It took me at least 45 min AFTER deleting EVERYTHING to regroup! I know I had good pics in there, but since I really can't remember what (other than pics from GREASE, when a big group of girls went) I can't be too upset!
SO, I'm overcome my dilemma and I've gotten over it! NOW I'm BACK!!!!

Here are some pictures taken of the DIVA herself, Britney Spears...... the show was amazing, and I know some folks say, "I wouldn't go to see her if you PAID me"- and let me just say, I WOULD have gone if someone had PAID me, OR NOT, BUT the BEST part was, I got TWO FREE tickets!!!!!! So there! :)

My good friend Janelle, that came with me to the show!

This was my "fun" going out outfit for the night! I felt a little like Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City in the beginning scene with her cute pink tutu! I love these shoes too! "Naughty Monkey's" (my friend Janelle's!) (I'm getting me a pair!) Please zoom in on the shoes!

Disney on ICE

Zana and Reagan outside of the Amway Arena for Disney on ICE! (September 11, 2009)

Reagan sat in Janelle's lap nearly the whole show! (Janelle is a friend of ours from the gym, and Reagan REALLY loves her more than me, I think :)
She had hand fulls of popcorn all night! She literally had her elbow down the popcorn box, and wouldn't take her eyes off the show! It was hysterical!

My little Mickey "wanna-be" munching on some pink cotton candy!

Mickey and Minnie on a magical sled ride! :)
The show REALLY was amazing!

Miami Beach with the Grandmothers!

Miami Beach with GiGi and Zana!

While Adam has been in Alaska for the past 8 days, My Mom (Zana) came to visit us and we took a quick trip to Miami to see my Grandmother (GiGi)- These were a couple cute pics from this beach trip!

"BOB" haircut.........

Oh, how I LOVE the "bob" haircut!  It's super easy maintenance and SO darn cute!
I have been wanting to take Reagan to this nifty "Dream Cuts" salon for kids, and today was the perfect day!  She loved this place!  They had toys, and music, TV's and these awesome car seats to get your haircut in! She was a good sport until the man came over to cut her hair! LOL! We had quite a long wait, and she's never acted so good, but she really has a sensitive thing against men she doesn't know and this barber comes over all in her face and friendly, but she freaked!  He brought her a really neat Mickey mouse toy that lite up so that bought him some time then the bangs came....... and that really was the only thing she needed done, so those may have turned out a little uneven since she moved around so much- BUT, he didn't cut her, (or me) (since I was in the middle of the cut some of the time), and her hair looks straight to me! SO, I was happy!

First Day of Mother's Day Out!

9:00am
This was in the parking lot at the school- she was thrilled to go to school at this point, but when I "dropped" her off, not so much! LOL!  She and every other child in the room were SCREAMING! It seemed easier than I expected leaving her, b/c she wasn't the only one throwing a fit!
*But doesn't she look like a doll!?

Monday was Reagan's FIRST day of school!  I was emotional, like I expected to be, but a trip to Target with a Starbucks drink made me feel much better! :)
Who knew you could spend so much MORE money on stuff, when you don't have a toddler trying to crawl out of the grocery cart! LOL!

2:00pm
When I went into pickup Reagan, she didn't even know I was there, she was playing very hard and having a blast! But, when she saw me she came running, and that made me feel good!
The teachers thought she had been in a childcare setting before (not sure what gave them that impression), but when they found out she hadn't been, they were very impressed at how good she did on her first day away from me for that time period! (I'm so proud of her!)
She only took a 20 min nap (and when we got home she took about a 2 1/2 hr nap to add to that!) and she wouldn't eat her lunch at school, so this is her below in the car home pigging out on her lunch!  It's going to be a learning experience for both of us, but I'll hope in a few months she will have it down!
I was really excited about taking her tomorrow, but now the nerves have kicked in AGAIN! More school pics to post after another fun day! :)

I Love her!
