On Tuesday Reagan and I hosted our first playdate at our home. This was a very brave thing to offer, b/c there are at least 20plus moms in our group! This is the playgroup that we started from the Winnie Palmer Hospital (where we delivered) when the babies were around 3 months old. So, they have all grown up together in a sense. We really enjoy getting together for lunches once a week, but being at someone's house is SO much more relaxing and entertaining for the kids (instead of sticking them in highchairs and making them play while we eat there).
So, we braved the thought of having everyone over and it was a BIG success! It was 1/2 indoors and 1/2 outdoors with pools and splashy toys! We flooded the backyard, so everyone was walking around in muddy water by the end of it but we had a wonderful time!
There was a total of 11 kids and 12 moms! HUGE group of people for our little living area- but we made it work and had a ball!
Thanks to everyone who came over! I can't wait to have more!
