Happy Belated Mother's Day!!

A MOTHER'S DAY AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS!!

Reagan is the BEST daughter, when it comes to Mother's Day- Last year, I remember her sleeping in until around 10am, and this year she did it AGAIN!  It's as if she knows that I deserve the day off, and a morning to sleep in- even though my maternal clock woke me up at 7am!
Since she slept in until 10 that morning, we decided to skip church, (we had already missed one service, and coming up on missing another service), and pack a sandwich lunch, and go out to Universal Studios for the afternoon- (and by the time we ate breakfast, loaded up all of our "gear" and got to the "park" it was already nearly one!)
Reagan was an excellent sport that afternoon- it was the hottest day of the year! (Yes, I know, we are soo stupid for wanting to go out on this HOT HOT HOT day, but there wasn't anything I would have wanted more, then my family all together at a theme park on Mother's Day!  The park was soo quiet, and empty- it was wonderful! The lines were very short, and of course right when we got there, I knew we needed to see the Barney Show-
Adam hasn't ever seen her amazement with this show, but when we got there it had already started- So, these pictures/video of her on the little green slide, is in Barney's "Playground" area- it is indoors, and has lots of things for a mini-person; like Reagan, to play on! RIGHT after the show, Barney comes out to greet all of his buddies, and I made sure we were first in line to meet him! She was really shy at first, but wanted to show him her doll, that just happened to look JUST LIKE HIM!!!  :)
Then we hit the Madagascar "meet and greet" (Let me just say, Reagan's first time to watch anything to do with Madagascar, was this particular morning, so NO other time, had she seen these characters!) When they came out she FREAKED, and I mean FREAKED! Remember the photo of her with the Little Einsteins?  This was like that!  She basically pitched a HUGE fit; kicking and screaming- until we got up to them- And the video below explains how she was once she got to them- And we spent so much time with them, that their "wrangler" (person that keeps the characters safe) had to ask Adam to wrap it up!  :)  Oops!

While we waited for the Barney show to start, we went over to the water/play area, and let her get wet for a little bit to cool off- Adam found some nice ALABAMA folks (and fans) :) to visit with, while we watched Reagan get soaked in the water that comes up out of the ground! I brought an extra outfit just for that reason! :)  She cooled off a bit, and we saw the Barney show- She was rather exhausted by this time, so, her excitement level was on LOW - but she managed to keep her eyes open!  But by the time the show ended, we put her in her stroller, and walked around, she was OUT-

Overall, it was a wonderful, warm, and eventful Mother's Day!!
Oh, How I love to be a MOM!!

The Aveada Experience

She sat in Daddy's arms during the haircut, I figured he could be stronger holding her than I could!  But I loved this picture of the three of us, I'm just sad it turned out blurry!

Reagan had the ultimate Aveada haircut experience!  We took her to get her first "professional" haircut with Adam, while he was getting his haircut.  She really was excited about the whole thing at first, then she got FREAKED out, and started screaming! This place is (usually) very soothing, and suppose to be an "experience" and she sort of ruined it for those folks that afternoon!
Laugh Out Loud!
But at least we got the haircut, and some pictures of her acting like she liked it too!  And of course Barney had to be along for the adventure too- we couldn't have done it without him!  :) (Which by the way, I just bought Reagan a group of three Barney videos that have the kids that my sister and I watched back in the day, it was filmed in 1983! These kids are now Adam's age, AT LEAST! ... very weird!)  :)

You guys may remember this video below- and if you're new to my blog, than this video will be a year old in three days! But, I thought along with all the haircut talk, I would post her very FIRST haircut!  She was soo little!!  Awe!

Hi Friends!

I know it's been FOREVER since I've blogged- We've been super busy here at the Haynes House!!  Please be patient with me, as I blog for the past month! Laugh Out Loud!   It'll be awhile, but I WILL get it all in!
XOXO-

Grandpa Scott's HOT ROD!

Several weekends ago we helped our friends Carter and Jenny celebrate one of their friend's kids 1st Birthday's!
At around 9pm (seriously.... Reagan usually goes to sleep at 7pm!) the kids got a total sugar HIGH off the cake,  and started playing in Grandpa Scott's (Carter's grandpa) RED "HOT ROD" car!  Carter knows his way around the car, and this was Reagan's first time in a car (getting to push, and play) and she LOVED it!  Get ready folks in about 15 years, these two will be on the road!!  :)

"DUCK!"

After dinner out at OutBack, there were a few ducks splashing around in our neighbors' yard (Yes, your yard, Liz! LOL!) Reagan's favorite word to say is "DUCK!" so she hobbled over (one shoe on, one shoe off) to the duck!  This was really the first time she's seen one up close!

OUTBACK BREAD

Reagan LOVES OutBack SteakHouse's Bread!  ..... But who doesn't!?
She ate nearly the whole loaf!

Splash Park at the ZOO

The Zoo had a really neat splash park area that we took the kids to after we saw the animals and of course, Reagan LOVED it... and got soaked!!  These pictures were taken from our friend Abby and they are SO good!
Be sure to check out the videos below:
She is a nut!

A day at the Central Florida Zoo

THE ZOO!!

Reagan looking into the elephants' home!

The lama came right up to Reagan and Charlotte!

Every Wednesday at the Central Florida Zoo they have a FREE story time and animal viewing, then you can pay to walk around the zoo.  So, one of my Mom's groups decided to meet at the zoo, do the story time and walk around.  The Zoo was rather disappointing, considering that the only animals we saw were two elephants, a lama, one butterfly (in the butterfly garden), a few kangaroos, a hidden sloth, a few monkeys and a cougar and cheetah (both very hidden)- Maybe I should have worded that last sentence, "the only animals the kids could see"- but it was a nice morning to visit and get out of the house!  And we got some cute pictures!

Goofballs!

Here is another ADORABLE video of Reagan and James hilariously laughing at one another! Again, I say- these kids are going to be a handful for their teachers in August when Jen and I put them in Mother's Day Out!   Laugh Out Loud!

Meeting THE Ghostbuster, himself, Dan Akroyd!

Last Saturday afternoon at our local grocery store; Publix- Dan Akroyd (actor in many films; Blues Brothers, Ghostbusters, My Girl, Cone heads.... to name a few) was doing a promo on Dan Akryod Wine and he was signing the bottles.  I had mentioned it to Adam and he was going to be working that day, so Reagan and I ventured to the store (thinking NO ONE would come) we stood in line for an hour to get wine signed and a picture!  These pictures were our eventful day in line waiting for Dan.......  She loved it! :)  I am gad we did it, and she was so wonderful that day! Now we have several bottle for a fun story to tell and nice gifts!   I do think, however, that Reagan was quite disappointed that when we got to the end of the line, it wasn't a Disney character, or Barney- :)  all that waiting and no one in a costume! "What gives!?"

I started off holding her, until she got restless, so I put her in this nifty cart like a car that she has never been in before, she loved the feeling of facing forward!
It wasn't long before I had to pull out the "big guns" (the snacks!) *Look at how she is holding Barney between her legs!
When we moved inside the store, I moved her into the cart for a different "atmosphere".....
And this was what I got- my whole diaper bag dumped out into the cart! :)
We finally made it!
And like I said, she wasn't really thrilled for the ending of the line, to find a MAN- LOL! But I'll be nice for her baby book- :)
(Let me start off by saying, I was upset to that Dan sitting there with a baseball cap, and sunglasses on INSIDE!) But when we got up to him, he was really nice to us- (we were buying 4 bottles of his wine for gifts), and he stood up (which he wasn't doing for other people's pictures) and he took off his sunglasses!  So, I got a good pic with him!
Watch the video of how happy Reagan was while in a line waiting for Dan Akroyd!

Little Cuties Playgroup

We go to a "Little Cutie's" playgroup at some one's house every Friday morning to play and snack, and these were some cute shots of Reagan playing "business" at a little desk with a phone and chair! It really looked like she was working, with her intense faces and busy phone conversation!
One of the mom's in the group, (also named Regan), got the neatest picture at the top!  She's got an awesome camera! And it turned out so colorful!

Swimmin' at the club!

Below: (this is her new thing now when she thinks something is funny- she puts her hands over her mouth and giggles hysterically!)

The week after I got home from my New York trip, Jenny and I took the kids (Carter and Reagan) to the Country Club to swim.... like we do about once a week.  This time though, Reagan wanted to get "into" the water (she normally plays on the step and splashes around some)- This is the baby pool, so the water doesn't get up too high while she walks, but as we all know, it's really hard to WALK in WATER! (and we've been walking for many years!) LOL
Little Miss Independent here, wanted to walk ALONE, and would NOT allow me to put my hand, or even FINGER on her for protection! I stayed next to her the whole time of course, and She DID loose her balance a few times and topple into the water, but instead of coming out scared to death, and crying- she made the funniest shocked faces, and then kept going! Oh my goodness, what a handful!  :)
