Mom and Baby

I have captured the perfect picture to show that Reagan DOES have some features of myself, but can't find the picture of me as a baby that it looks like!- but I swear it does (Adam doesn't believe me) I'll have to have my Mom scan one in for me b/c I think its at her house- Anyway- this is the picture that I see myself in her,  and once I get the similar photo I'll blog them together b/c I am SO excited!  :)

While searching through my baby book to find the picture I found that I wasn't as long as Reagan is now, until I was 18 months old! (but I  always weighed about 3-4 lbs more than she has each month)  She is going to be super tall I'm thinking!

Weight- 18.14 lbs
Length- 31 inches

She's a' growin'!!

Presents!

This was a cute picture of Reagan after opening all the Christmas presents, Christmas morning- she was more into the paper, boxes, etc. (like everyone says) than the gifts, but now she's into everything she got!  Thanks to everyone who helped bring in her birthday and (2nd) Christmas!  We love everyone!

I thought this was the sweetest picture of Reagan watching the Disney Christmas parade in her pink chair, with all her blankies, and her new baby doll from Izzy- it giggles and makes baby sounds and she thinks it is so funny!  I love it!  (She also got a talking baby doll from her GiGi (my grandmother) and it says single words- I think this will be a great way to get her to start saying words!  Thanks Grama!

Christmas bike!

Izzy and Poppy got Reagan a new "bike"/walker for Christmas. And one beautiful afternoon we went outside to learn how to ride.  She does very well- her feet touch the ground and she just scoots herself, and the bike along- very sweet!  She preferred crawling on the pavement most of the time so she has many scrapes today but doesn't seem to care!  She is such a tough booger!!

Reading with Daddy

Reagan's new favorite book is about DOGS- she can say "dog" (in her own way of course), she loves dogs and my Mom got her a neat hands on dog book and I caught some awesome pictures of Daddy and Baby reading.  She loves to read!  I hope this is something that continues on throughout her life! ;)

I love candy canes!!!

Thank you Izzy, for the yummy candy cane sticks!  ;)  (Love, Reagan)

Adam has always loved these candy cane sticks and Izzy couldn't resist but to get him some for Christmas- while I was getting dressed to go to the park on Christmas day I walked into the living room to find that Reagan was eating two of Adam's candy cane sticks!  (Wonder why he had two, but who knows!)  They were both COVERED head to toe in sticky, red, candy cane.  It was hilarious!  I took it from her to get in the car because I didn't want it ALL over the car and she threw a FIT!  She wanted those candy canes- Guess we know she has a sweet tooth!

Cabinet craze!

Our new past time is to get into EVERY drawer or cabinet possible, and pull EVERYTHING out as quick as possible!  She enjoys making big messes, but she is also learning how to clean up.  (That will be helpful one day when she learns how- so I won't have to continue breaking my back all day cleaning her messes!)  ;)

Candy Cane Christmas

I just thought these were some cute shots of Reagan in her Christmas candy cane outfit from The Nix family in TEXAS, on Christmas morning- bed-head and all! These were also my first pictures with my new camera!  Thank you, Adam!!!  I love it!!!

ICE at Gaylord Palms Resort

While my sister, Sarah was visiting during the week of Reagan's birthday I took her to the Gaylord Palms Resort where they were doing a Winter event called ICE!!!- it was totally cool- they provided parkas because it was 9 degrees in the exhibit! We were FREEZING!!  Our noses felt like they could fall off- it was insane! It was an amazing experience to see the sculptures that people made out of ICE- very interesting...... and I'm not sure how they turned the Ice to color, but that makes it even cooler!

Santa and a Gator spending Christmas "FLORIDA" style
Sarah in an ice covered tunnel
Sarah posed with the cute penguins- and her lovely parka :)
(Sorry to post these Sarah, unfortunately I can't embarrass myself with the parka pics b/c you haven't sent them to me from your camera! ;)

Santa's reindeer pulling his sled- which was an ice slide- I didn't want to go but Sarah made me! It made me think of the "Christmas Story" movie when the kids get pushed down the slide after visiting Santa at the mall- they're all screaming! HAHA!  It wasn't that bad- but these parkas really send you FLYING! It was fun!

Haynes Household!!!

Good news! Adam got me a new camera for Christmas, so I'll be updating the blog more often now! (I was SO behind, b/c I only had my cell phone to take pics, and those were never that good)- I DO however, have a lot to catch up on with Aunt Sarah being here for a week, Adam's family coming to visit, Reagan's Birthday, and Christmas! It'll be a few days before I'm totally updated so stay tuned!

Now the big question I'm sure most of you wondered- "What will Kristen do when it turns the year 2009?" (Since my blog was HaynesFamily2008)- Yes, I know dumb idea, but I have now changed it to HaynesHousehold- ..... all catchy Haynes names were taken- anyway- see ya soon 2009 and I won't have to change my handy blog again another year! Blog ya later!

Happy Birthday Reagan!!

December 19, 2008- Reagan Victoria Haynes turned the BIG O-N-E year old!

We had an awesome turn out for her Gymboree birthday party and our photographer friend, Emily, showed up to snap some shots of the kiddies and captured some awesome candid photos! Please look her up if you haven't already: www.campbellphotography.wordpress.com.

It's amazing how the morning they wake up ONE, they seem so much wiser, and mature! She is doing so many new things daily, that I can't seem to keep her little anymore- this evening when I rocked her I just thought about how she's growing up so fast. Adam and I looked back at some pictures only 6 months ago, and she was such a little muffin baby then! Barely learning to crawl! Amazing!!

Aunt Sarah and I with Reagan catching bubbles, with little Blake in the background! (I guess we are technically in the background- whatever!)
Birthday cake MADNESS! She tore that cake to pieces! (I'll post colored photos later, she was totally BLUE!)

Happy Birthday Little Bit! We love you!!

Sorry Bama!!!...... and Daddy!

You know Saturday afternoon our family was glued to the TV pulling for the Crimson Tide to kick those Gators out of the National Championship and unfortunatley we didn't pull through- but it was an awesome game! All I have to say to those other teams out there in the SEC- "WATCH OUT FOR BAMA, THEY'LL BE EVEN BETTER NEXT YEAR!"  I loved this picture of Reagan and Dad- he's training her early on what team to root for!.... OR what school to go to!  ;)

Won't be long-

So, I really thought that Reagan wouldn't be walking by her first birthday (one week away)- but after Thanksgiving she became more comfortable, and is starting to take a few steps here and there!  YEA!  She should be walking full on by Jan.  That is my assumption- we'll see- she's getting much more comfortable with letting go and getting loose!  ;)

PediPed Shoes......

Last night Reagan did the cutest thing ever!  After a bath, and while I was getting her dressed in her p.j.'s she was laying on her back playing with one of her shoes.  They Velcro closed, and she looked like she was trying to pull them apart- I could not figure out what she was doing- they she finally pulled the Velcro (and it is strong Velcro) apart- and was so happy about it- (she accomplished what she was trying to do!)- but not only that- she then put her leg up in the air, and literally tried to put the shoe on her foot!  It was so sweet!  She understood that the shoe goes on her foot!!!!  I was soo impressed! I took the shoe and helped her put it on her foot and she shut the Velcro strap and was so happy!  She had done something for herself and you could see the happiness and accomplishment in her face- it was priceless and just sweet!

Sneak Peek-

Welcome back to the updated blog!  :)
It's been about a month (nearly)...... according to some family and friends that keep up with us!  :) Sorry, I've been keeping busy and honestly just haven't taken any recent pics!  .... I know, I'm a horrible Mom! :)

These pictures were taken by a friend Emily- (website: campbellphotography.wordpress.com) (check her out!) We took these at the end of November to celebrate Reagan's first year (which is coming up in one week!) and our Christmas card pics- therefore, I can't share lots until after I send those out! ;)

The week that we took these pics, Zana (my Mom was in town) and it was a very busy visit!!
Walt Disney World was doing auditioning for upcoming contracts for the Beauty and The Beast show at Hollywood Studios- (for those who don't know, I love to sing and perform, and I have been missing it, and considered auditioning for part-time- this audition was for Belle (the lead)). It went great, and I got called back!  Yippee!  I already went to my call back and it went "alright"- they never give you too much feedback after you've sung, so you never know what they are thinking- BUT they did write some stuff down on my resume' WHICH is a good thing!  So, we'll see- this contract is for a year, starting in Feb. so it's a long waiting period- I may not hear anything until Jan.- So, Please continue to pray for me, I would love to have this opportunity working at Disney (again) that would be awesome!!.... Plus free tickets!  Heck Yeah!  ;)

On the same day of my audition, Reagan got an audition for an Oreck vacumn! They needed a "crawling baby"- and she is definitely a pro at that!
So, after my long audition (9am-4pm)- We took Reagan to hers at 5pm- it was so easy- They just took us into a room, took her picture and told us they would let us know! The job would be for an infomercial for Oreck- baby crawling with family, cooking out, dogs, etc. (family scene)- the vacumn they were advertising would be a "germ-fighting" one.  Sounded nice!
Few weeks went by and our agent called and they had booked her for the job! .... but here's the catch.... the day of the shoot was the day of my "Belle" call-back for Beauty and The Beast.  I told them my conflict and b/c Reagan wouldn't be able to work that day- they choose another baby- :(  Unfortunately that is the way these things go- and Adam wasn't able to take her due to work.  But, it worked out after-all b/c the pay wasn't very good for a long days shoot, for a almost one year old- it would have been tough!  .... So, keep your eyes out for an Oreck infomercial- the baby there could have been Reagan!  ;)
Something else will come up another time!

Then that Saturday we did our family photo shoot with the help of my Mom- Thanks again Mom- we couldn't have done it without her- it was COLD that day, so it was a little rough with Reagan being chilly but she was such a sport!  And Sunday we took Mom to Disney to let her see Reagan meet the Characters- the cute pics are on her camera- I'll try to get some then download them!
;)
