Video from Old "Barney" post-

I've been having a hard time getting "Blogger" to post my videos lately- so I'm finally getting the free time to sit around and blog some!
This video was when Reagan went to the Barney show with Carter. Shows you just how much she enjoyed the opening number of the show! :)

STUCK.....

After our evening at the park, I let Miami out on her handy dandy leash (see posts below) in the backyard, and opened the screen while I was cooking dinner, so Reagan could talk to Miami outside, and we could have the fresh air inside all at once! While cooking, I looked over and saw Reagan squeezing through the doggie door- (you prob. remember this OLD picture posted many many months ago) the doggie door was cropped out, b/c it is sooo yucky looking but this gives you an idea of how little this door is, and how, (if being used,) the screen door meets the doggie door. So, anywho, she was trying to get outside to Miami through the doggie door! I ran over and pushed her through, and she was STUCK- She then started crying, and I began to rack my brain of what I would do if she couldn't come out! I then went outside, and sort of twisted her shoulders out and pushed her back inside! What a scare!!!  Not going to have that screen open again!  Yikes!

"It's about that time...."

I'm beginning to let this little fire ball loose and do the things she wants to do (all safe things that is!)- We have started practicing with the silverware, and they are now used regularly with our meals.  She isn't getting to "pushing" about having to feed herself, yet- but she does LOVE to feed herself, she can sense accomplishment after food actually makes it into her mouth- since I am cheering her on!

Shadow Bay Park

This evening after Reagan's nap, we had some time to kill before dinner so I took her over to the Shadow Bay Park.  The ground is that rubber, tire stuff, so it's really soft when you fall, and it's not a big mess like mulch (which she loves to eat!)- there were a lot of kids there and Reagan had so much fun! These are a few shots from the swings! She REALLY enjoyed these! She also just enjoyed walking around making friends with the "big kids"- she and a 3 year old little boy, had so much fun on the slide- she sat at the bottom, and he slid down just fast enough to hit her at her shoes, and then he'd climb back up and do it over and over again- she thought it was hysterical! She also wasn't shy about letting me know that SHE WAS IN CHARGE! This independence strike started, and anything dangerous she would try to do, I'd grab hold of her shirt so she couldn't get hurt, and she'd shoo me away- "OK, Mom!" Clearly she had everything under control, considering that she scraped up her knee pretty bad! Oh, well, there has to be a first time for everything!
*Notice the BIG black bruise on her forehead, courtesy of the joys of walking, and running into walls/doors!

The cure to the dog!

The latest on the so called "missing dog" is that she has gotten out three more times, SINCE the overnight escapade! I DID find the hole we thought she was getting out of the FIRST time, and patched that up, but, two more times, when I realized she was gone (all in about a five minute time span mind you), I found a hole and patched that up.  She was graciously returned by some friends of ours in the neighborhood that happened to be home, and outside at the times of these escapes! Thank Goodness!  :)
I have since bought a 20 ft. "leash" that is staked into the ground!  She will not be going ANYWHERE!!!!!
(I'd like to see you try, Miami!!!!!)-
I'm finding an odd realization here, that this blog is SUPPOSE to be about our family, and it usually is (for the most part) just mainly about Reagan, but I guess Miami wanted a little "face" time, and she has had plenty since these episodes- hopefully NO MORE!!!

Barney's in the HOUSE!!

Monday afternoon Reagan and I were invited out to Universal with our friends, Jenny and Carter to watch the Barney show!!  We have been very tuned into Barney lately, and I knew Reagan would LOVE this show, and meeting him!  I had taken her to the show months ago, but there wasn't any kind of response quite like this one!  She and Carter both danced, and clapped, and kept their eyes glued to the show!  We ran out of the show in order to be first in line to meet him! Reagan has always had a BLAST meeting characters (except Santa), and she loved Barney, but when he got to her level, and his BIG, HUGE, head went toward hers... she backed away a little- but still no crying! Carter wasn't real fond of the Big Purple Dinosaur......... but, can you blame him!?

*Turn up your volume for the videos- and be sure to check the previous posting below for a new video!

Seriously!?

If you people don't think this looks like my daughter, y'all are CRAZY!
This may not be the best picture to show the resemblance, but this is ADAM'S SISTER!  I swear Reagan looks like both of them!  (Alyson, you win!)  ;)  I'll have to have a boy to get my "Riek" genes!!
*BTW, Reagan is letting me put her hair up in bows and ponytails on the top of her head! Success!!  :)

P.S.- Aunt Sarah, you need to email me the baby pic you have that you think you look like Reagan, and we'll do a poll!  :)

Annual Greek Festival

Sunday afternoon, Adam, Reagan and I went out to the Greek Festival.  There was suppose to be fun entertainment, and great food!  We got there right as they opened and it was already very busy! We got some food, and these were a few of the shots I got that afternoon.  PS.- Reagan has started throwing some horrible temper tantrums and these are a few images from a SMALL one at the festival.

At first we were happy............ she even danced to the Greek music!

........ And then we were MAD!!!!!!

It's sad to say, this was how Reagan acted the majority of the festival.  We are in the process of dropping down to one nap now, and it makes it very hard to do anything- so, I can't blame her for her fowl mood, since she was on the verge of nap time, but it makes for a funny blog post!

Grown up already!

Reagan has ALWAYS, LOVED one of Miami's purses ( a bag with a yorkie on it, given to me by Izzy one Christmas, to keep all of Miami's clothes, leashes, etc. when traveling)- well, now that Reagan can walk, she has gotten a little bit "sassy" about the whole purse thing.  She now carries it around the house EVERYWHERE, just like any of us ladies would (throwing it over your shoulder, etc.), she does it!  It is hilarious- just look and see!  She is also very giving when it comes to kisses!  Shes such a little ham! I love my little/big girl!
*Just don't judge the messy living room! ;)

Warm weather returns!!

Saturday afternoon the weather was beautiful and Reagan and I played out in the backyard (really, for the first time since she can now walk)- and she had a ball! (Literally) there is a video attached! :) Notice she isn't in a lot of clothes. That morning was cooler, so she WAS in something more, but after nap, I took a few things off! Enjoy!

Updates-

We've had a few funny new things going on here at the house- First off, Reagan got these Eeyore ears at a Winnie The Pooh Birthday Party back in December, but is just now wanting to play with them.  Adam and I have been wearing them for her, and now she brings them over to us to put on her head than our own. (Shes also doing this with her sunglasses, and her baseball hat)- it tickles her to see us in her "stuff".
Another thing that Reagan is doing that is new, is a somersault.  She started this while trying to get our attention one evening when we were talking with my sister on Skype (web cam). Sarah watched her get on her head at least 20 times, and Adam rolled her over into a somersault every time!  She now, loves to to this!  We tried to get video, but when she sees us videoing, she stops!
I just can't wait to get her into Gymnastics when she's old enough!!  Yay!  My little Gymnast!!

Delaney Park Playgroup!

This was a beautiful day, and we (the Moms) decided to do a picnic at the park! The kids had lots of fun, running from their Moms!  Reagan wasn't walking yet, at that time, so she stayed close by me, but I can bet you now, will be a different story!!

(She's a TOUGH girl!  Check out those jeans!)
The Troublesome Three; Reagan, James, and Carter- these three have been playing together for many months, and get along great! They have a lot of fun. Reagan is very protected by "her boys"
We just need to add another girl in the mix- ;)

**We also had an extra friend at the park that day, Evan- He just wasn't pictured here! We love playing with you too, Evan!!

Super Bowl Party!

Super Bowl Sunday Cookout

The guys grilling!  (Adam, Sam, and Cory)
We had delicious skirt steak fajitas, hot wings, tortilla rolls, shrimp, meatballs, pumpkin cheese cake, and cupcakes- I'm probably forgetting something, there was so much!
Switch-a-roo
These babies have switched daddies!  Very sweet! (James and Reagan, with Cory and Adam)

The Cooler IS Cooler.....
For some reason, the kids all liked playing with the ice in the cooler, more than watching the football game! I wonder Why!? :)
(Reagan, sucking on the ice)

MISSING DOG:
1/30/2009

TEACUP YORKSHIRE TERRIER
GOES BY THE NAME, MIAMI

IF FOUND PLEASE CONTACT:
###-###-###

The latest scare in the Haynes household, was on Friday afternoon, when I let Miami out to potty and forgetting about her for about 30 min.- noticing that she had disappeared.  Reagan and I walked up and down the block, hollering, and shaking treats, to find nothing.  It was around 5pm, so most people getting home from work were out walking their dogs, and normally Miami would greet a person with a dog, and no one had seen her.  It got dark quickly after that, and cold, VERY cold- I was unsure if she would make it through the night.
Adam and I pretty much came to terms that she was gone- and hopefully in someone's home, but we figured we'd never see her again, due to her being so friendly, sweet, lovable, and cute, whoever found her, would want to keep her for sure!
So, around 11:30pm- still NO Miami, I printed off these posters above and started posting them to EVERY (and I do mean EVERY) pole in my housing development.
Night goes on, Morning comes, still no sign of her- I post signs at our local grocery store, and Pak-N-Mail, and what do you know after a long depressed 24 hours- a woman calls with GREAT NEWS!  She had Miami and was bringing her home!!!
Yolanda (the lady with very long fake finger nails), pulls up with Miami in her car looking out the window- (I was shaking so badly and was so happy to have found her!) We talked with Yolanda a little bit and found out that her son found her Friday evening (sounds like RIGHT after I lost her) and they decided to keep her over night then call!
I was thrilled that she decided to do the right thing, and not keep her- but heck, it was 24 hours of horrible sadness for us! Miami had tags on and everything! I was pretty angry that she waited so long to call, but we've assumed that she saw the signs EVERYWHERE and figured there was no way should would be able to get away with "stealing" her!
:)
Thank goodness!  We're glad you're home (stinker) Miami!

Walk This Way........

It's official!!!
Reagan is now WALKING!!!
I'm still new to the video filming part of my camera so I'll HAVE to get some footage for y'all to see- but it just happened over night, that she just started walking EVERYWHERE! It is so much fun!!  She seems so much happier, and this afternoon, we're having a few friends over with their kids and she'll have so much fun walking around with all the kids that already walk!  Yippee!!

Her new thing, now that she walks around the house, is talking on her princess cell phone- She doesn't put it up to her ear like normal- she talks in the phone up to her mouth, like a walkie talkie- its so funny how she smashes it up to her nose, and talks and talks- I wonder where she gets that from!?  ??   :)

Beautiful!!

We had a play date on Friday afternoon, and our "mommy" friend, Abby, took these pictures with her awesome camera!  I think they are just beautiful!  Thanks again, Abby!  Very nice!!

The "COOL" kid in school-

Remember when the kids back in the day would sit backwards in their chairs at school- I always thought they were trying to be "cool"- well, looks like Reagan is learning at an early age, Of course, she was watching TV.... again, seems to be another thing her and her daddy have in common... :) She got in her rocking chair like this and had a blast!  I took this picture with my cell phone so it's a little fuzzy, but you get the picture!  :)

Moving on up!!!

So, it's been awhile.... again!  We have been experiencing so much lately!
First off, we no longer use the highchair much, I've found that it makes Reagan feel like a "big" girl when I allow her to eat her meals at her new picnic table and watch TV- very cute, but also can be very messy!  Luckily we have a dog, that isn't very picky and will eat just about anything! :)
I've also been struggling to get Reagan to HOLD her own bottle of milk- I've found the solution! ..... a beer hugger! Funny, I know, but I think it makes her little hands so cold, she doesn't like to hold it- so now, she can without getting her hands cold, and keep her bottle cold!  :)  I'll try to get a pic soon!!
