Dress up!

Princess Reagan Victoria ........
How cute are these little Minnie Mouses!?
"Take this crazy thing off me!"
"Arrggh Maties!"  Captain Jack Sparrow (with his wife and baby)- she really hated this wig, it was a pretty tangled mess after we got ahold of it!

We had a little fun at the Disney toy store with the dress up clothes!  I couldn't resist!

Downtown Disney with the Fam!i

Saturday afternoon we met Izzy, Poppy, Aunt Alyson and cousin Ava at Downtown Disney, before they left to drive back to Georgia.  We had so much fun!  We ate lunch at Captain Jack's, watched Ava ride the carousel and we ate lots of ice cream at Ghirardelli-  yummy..... Adam fed a little bit of vanilla to Reagan and she really liked it! Yummy! It was SUPER hot, but we stayed cool while watching Ava pick out "My Little Pony" clothes!
*(Reagan pictured  up top, singing songs with Ava and Izzy, and biting Poppy's finger with those SHARP teeth!... yikes!)*

Yummy Green Beans!

OK, So, I wasn't joking when I said I would make a posting for EVERY new food we try!  And here is our latest- GREEN BEANS!
So far, I would say she loves these the most!  She gobbled them up like there was no tomorrow!  I seriously could not feed these too her fast enough! HA!  Adam could hear her just talking away with every bite I gave her!  I'm happy that she likes her greens now, we'll see about it as she gets older!  - and PEAS are the next green veggie, and I can't stand them, so we'll see how she likes them! :)

Reagan and Cousin Ava

Our Poppy, Izzy, Aunt Alyson, and Cousin Ava all came to visit on Wednesday and I caught this sweet picture of Ava loving on Reagan. Ava helped me give Reagan a bath, and played with her on the floor with all of her toys! Thank you Ava for being such a BIG helper!

Reagan always sucking that thumb- and she is wearing her "Baby Legs" (little fashionable leg warmers that help protect baby's legs while crawling- or just for style! :) )

Up to NO good!

Tuesday evening I went into the kitchen to do something, while leaving Reagan on the floor with multiple toys to occupy her, and not one minute later, came back to find little Reagan had opened a drawer to our TV stand!  She has been keeping her eye on all the lights with the computer and TV stuff and apparently she knew that all of her toys were in this particular drawer! :)  I happened to grab my camera and get a perfect "caught in the act" pose from little miss mischievous.  Looks like we won't be able to leave her unattended (for even a second!) ANYMORE!

I am such a fan of monogramming and these little bloomers were a gift from some friends- this was definitely a photo op when I laid her down for her nap!

Bananas!!!

We started BANANAS on Monday morning and here is a cute picture with it all over her face! So far, she has liked everything we have given her!  Hopefully she'll like some of the veggies too, and won't have such a sweet tooth like me!
*(Tracy, she is in her "Little Firecracker" T-shirt, that wouldn't fit over her head- HA!  So, I cut the neck hole and made it bigger, and now it looks cute and sporty!  ;)  Thank you!)

Party at Alex's house!

Sunday afternoon Reagan, and Adam and I all went over to Reagan's friend Alex's  house for a little belated Birthday bash.  Tracy, her husband and Grace were there as well and we had so much fun- Thank you girls for doing that for me!
The kids played really great together, except for Reagan being a bit of a bully- she pulled Alex's hair, and would steal the toys Grace and Alex both played with.  She was crawling around and pretty much took control over the place! (FYI- Reagan started crawling around the whole living room Saturday night, on my birthday!- This was the first time she really moved around!)
Yikes, I worry what she may grow up to be like!  HAHA! But, pictured here the kids are on a squishy mat that is a big puzzle of the ABC's.  Reagan took some of the pieces off and started chewing on them and put teeth marks all over it!  It must have felt really good to her gums and her two bottom teeth!  :)

If this doesn't look like Adam, I don't know what does!

Adam caught some good pictures of Reagan last night on her adorable quilt made by her great Aunt Carol (We love our quilt Aunt Carol, Thank you!!)
This picture just looks identical to Adam, it's scary! Adam was so nice to babysit Reagan last night while I went out to dinner to Season's 52 with some girlfriends for my birthday (June 21st)  Bless his heart though, I left him at the house with a screaming baby, and knew it would last awhile (her second tooth broke through last night) - so it was a rough night for him to say the least, I'm sure!  He was a wonderful sport, along with all the other daddy's that babysat while their wives went to dinner for my birthday!  Thanks Dads!!!!  It was fun to get out with the girls without babies- funny thing was, I had never seen them without their kids!  Weird, but a much needed get away!  ;)

Sweet Potatoes

Sweet Potato Face!..... click on this picture, and you can see her tooth, and the second one coming in!!

Last night for dinner Reagan had sweet potatoes for the first time! ....FYI, for the next few weeks, everyone will get the privilege of seeing each food that will be introduced, proud mommy rules!  :)
The Dr. suggests that you serve the "jar food" out of a bowl and not in the jar due to the bacteria that can come from the baby's mouth into the jar- which then doesn't allow you to reuse the jar if the baby doesn't eat everything thing in it. So, anyway, I poured a little bit into a bowl and fed her and Adam and I were waiting for a weird looking face (due to a totally new taste in her mouth), and she didn't flinch!  She ate everything that was in the bowl, so after refilling THREE more times!  I ended up feeding her the entire jar (it's like 2.5 ounces), but for it being her first time for "baby food" I was shocked she liked it so much!  She is such a little piggy- I think we're going to have a very hefty eater!   :)  Although, I've started introducing apple sauce into her cereal (as my Dr. requested) and she won't eat that!  - very strange considering how sweet apple sauce is!  Oh well!  Yesterday Adam and I took her to a Mexican restaurant and I gave her my lemon out of my drink, and we were expecting a face with that- and she ate the lemon off the rind practically!  No faces at all!  Zana, Izzy, and myself are BIG lemon eaters, so it looks like she will take after all of us!

Super Model admiring her work.......

I attempted to get some pictures of Reagan with her magazine, but all she wanted to do was eat it! :)  She is really big about eating magazines right now.  This bottom picture is a laminated copy we autographed and gave to her pediatrician.

6 month Birthday Today!!!

I totally can not believe that my little baby is now 6 months old today!

It hasn't been the best day for her so far- this morning I took her in to the Dr. for her 6 month check-up and she had 4 shots in her little legs.  :(  She did not like that one bit, but, we gave her office an autographed copy of her picture in the magazine laminated!
And the fun part about the check-up for me is to find how much she has grown!  She weighed 14.10 pounds and 27 1/4 inches long!!  Her Dr. was very pleased with her growth patterns.  She said she is most likely going to be tall and slender.  She has doubled her birth weight (which is amazing to me) and that is the most important thing at a 6 month visit, and she grew nearly 2 inches in length in the past two months!  Everything on the growth chart is right on track, and the Dr. gave us the OK to start apple sauce (mixed in the cereal), diluted juices, and a new fruit and or veggie every 2-3 days!  :)  This means she is an official "big" girl now!  My goodness!
We also had another "teething" episode until late last night and this afternoon while at the Dr. we noticed that her bottom tooth number 2 is on its way out of the gums!  I will continue to keep everyone posted on when that comes through!  (And I'll try to get a picture of these teeth, but its hard to get!)

Pool Party at Grace's house!

Wed. afternoon we went over to Reagan's friend Grace's house- whom has been on the blog before- for a little pool party!  Tracy had several mommies from our mom classes over and we had a wonderful lunch and so much fun!  This was Reagan's first time in a pool- and by the look of these pictures, it doesn't look like she enjoyed it, but she didn't laugh, and didn't cry at the pool- so I think she was just trying to figure out what she was in!  To her it looked like a massive bath tub, I'm guessing! There was a lot of suspicious looks that she gave me, and a lot of sucking her thumb- but overall, she seems to enjoy it!  And for anyone that is wondering, (I am horrible for not taking a picture of her full body in her swim suit), she was wearing an adorable, Gap giraffe print bikini from her Aunt Sarah! Absolutely precious!  (Adam says that this is the ONLY bikini she is allowed to wear!)  :)  Silly Daddy!

Spoon Feeding

This video is Reagan learning how to spoon feed herself and it is just hilarious! She won't allow me to feed her unless I give her the spoon- this makes dinner much messier, but she needs to learn how to feed herself for when she gets big- so here it is! (Izzy, you're not allowed to freak out, while she is rather wild/rough with the spoon!)

Moms Meeting Moms- KinderMusik

Tues. morning at Moms Meeting Moms we saw a presentation about KinderMusik. We had seen a little bit of a different presentation when Reagan was a few months younger, and I liked it, but really wanted to see her enjoyment as she got older, and now that she is able to sit up and crawl over to what she is looking at- she had a great time! KinderMusik is a fun class where they allow kids to sing, dance with their mommies, play instruments, and learn a lot about music, which is very important to me!
I only caught one picture and a little bit of the video, but you can see how in tune she is to what is going on around her! They were blowing bubbles and playing with colorful scarves. She almost seems like she is in heaven! :)

Wine Festival on Father's Day

I know it has been awhile since I have blogged!  We have been keeping busy, and don't worry, I have not forgotten you guys!  ;)
This Father's Day was a lot of fun- we woke up and played with Reagan, went to church, lunch with some friends and then out to the LakeRidge Winery in Clermont, FL. Our friends Sam and Jamie were meeting us out there- they were having a wine tasting (yummy) and a grape stomping contest- which has ALWAYS been something I have wanted to do!  As Adam and I began to drive out there, the good ole' Florida down pour hit and lasted the entire time we were there, which caused them to close the festivities outside (including the grape stomping)  :(  But, low and behold, they opened it  back up while we were still there, and Reagan and I got to experience it together, in the rain!!  It was absolutely the most disgusting thing I have EVER done!  Course, these grapes were "pre-stomped" by multiple feet (which did not seem appetizing) but, since I had talked up the fact I wanted to do it so bad- I had to do it! A little 7 yr. old girl wanted to race, but I opted not to.  :)  So, long story short, the festival was interesting to say the least, but we were with great company and had fun! Afterward, we had a wonderful dinner at the Cracker Barrel and Reagan fell asleep so sweet in her car seat- snug as a bug!  -see picture above!

"Who are you?! And what have you done with my Mommy!?"

Reagan in her "My First Fishing Hat," her Daddy bought her while in the Keys on his fishing trip- this is about the look she was giving me when I was wearing my baseball hat! HA!

This afternoon while getting ready to take Reagan up to the gym nursery, I put on a baseball cap to cover my "oh so, horrible looking hair," and she would not stop staring at me!  She has never seen me in a hat, and she was very confused as to why I didn't look like myself but had her Mommy's voice.  :)  Cute story, just thought I'd share!  More pictures to blog tomorrow...... I promise!  ;)  XOXO

PARENTS Magazine July 2008 issue- ON STANDS NOW!!

             "Walk This Way" page 89
and she even made the front index page!

The July issue of PARENTS, we have all been waiting for (to see exactly what got published) is on stands now!! I was thrilled when my Grama called me yesterday to say she picked up several copies at her local Barnes and Nobles, and Reagan was on a full page! (And you can see my legs and arms on both front and back page! HA!)  If you remember from the blog back at the end of April, Reagan and I took a trip to Miami for this shoot but were unsure what would actually be published due to the article being about "toddlers walking."- but she looks adorable and you can find her on page 89- the article is called "Walk This Way."  She really does make you believe she could possibly be learning how to walk!  Very sweet! My little Super Model!

Playdate with Grace

                            "I Love my Play date!"
             Deer in the headlights-
Choo-Choo Train- we sat them like they were on a train!  :)

Tracy came over to watch Reagan for me (while I went to the dentist) after a Mommy and Me Father's Day project and we played together for a few hours!  We had so much fun!  The girls are starting to understand how to play now (starting is the keyword, they still don't get it completely)- but Grace was sweet, giving Reagan hugs and kisses!

My First Orchid

I wanted to show off this beautiful Orchid that Adam and I bought at the end of May .  It's still budding beautifully and I am horrible at keeping plants alive, so, I'm pretty proud of it!

One Long Night!

Tuesday night was one of the longest, sleepless nights in probably 3 months or more!  We put Reagan to bed around 7:30pm and around 9:30pm we were in for it!  She was screaming off the wall, and would not settle down!  It was nearly 11:30pm before she was finally asleep and I moved her into her crib.  And not too much shut eye before a LOUD scream came from her room again around 3am and another around 5am.
These are some pictures on Wednesday morning after our sleepless, rough, night (you can see by the wild bed-head) - We found out the reasoning to our loud outbreaks and MR. TOOTH is coming through!  It has not yet popped out completely, but it will be out by this weekend, I am sure- from Wed. morning to late that afternoon, it seemed to be popped out more!  Ugh! We'll be happy to get these teeth through!  (Except that means she is growing up!) I can't believe it!

These are a few of my favorite things.......

This is one of my favorite things to see Reagan doing in the morning.  She is so attached to BOTH blankets- you can see the pink bunny lovie, and the green blanket and her little thumb.  This is how sweet she looked at me this morning when she was lying in her bed, talking, waiting for me to come and get her.  :)  (She has the deer in the headlights look, but anyone would, if you get a big flash from the camera early in the morning!) Come on, Mom!
But, her sucking her thumb with her blankies is one of my favorite things, of many.  I have to say, that Adam and I saw her sucking her thumb in one of my ultrasounds.  She was so sweet all curled up in my tummy sucking away at that thumb!  We knew she would be a little thumb sucker!
Another favorite thing is to hear her in the morning through the monitor.  She just talks and laughs to herself, until someone comes to get her.

Now, on another note, when we were leaving the gym nursery yesterday, the janitor at the gym came up to us and played with her little toes and said  "she is such a beautiful baby." I said thank you and he continued talking saying, "I just love this baby."   It made me smile.... to know she is so loved at the gym!  HA!  Even by the janitors!!

27 dresses

Tonight Adam is in Boca for a work trip and so it's just me and Reagan.  And since she is sleeping, I'm planning on watching some chick flicks while he is away!   I am about to watch 27 Dresses (this will be the second time to see it)  and it made me want to blog b/c it was the first movie Adam and I saw after Reagan was born, and she came along with us!  (YES, Adam is a wonderful sport when it comes to watching movies I want to see).  Reagan was probably about 2 months old, and we took her to Universal Studios, City Walk to the movie theatre there and she slept through the entire movie!  This movie is special to me, since it was our first "date night" away from home together with our new baby!

BEDTIME.....

Now that the little princess is sitting up- that seems that is ALL she is ever doing!  I put her down for bed tonight and she fussed a bit, like usual, and then it was silent (even people without kids know that when it gets quite to check.... and I went to check, thinking that she was asleep) I peeked in to find her holding onto the slats of the crib looking through them! I laughed out loud!!  It looked like she was in baby  jail!
So, I laid her back down, she cried a bit and then after a bit of silence I peeked in to check and she was sitting up playing with her little plastic music box! She didn't know I was watching her and so I got a few pics of her- it was dark in there, the flash just makes it look daylight. Anyway, I decided that since she was being quite and not making a peep she could stay up (I knew it wouldn't last long, she was exhausted!)- and sure enough, about 3 min max went by and I peeked in again, and she was out!  Funny!  She's beginning to figure things out!

Cups, Cups and MORE Cups!

These are a couple pictures of her with her cups!  Now that she is a "big girl," sitting up- I am in the process of starting on a cup!  She is very head-strong (like I am) and wants to be able to hold it. So, Thank You, Jenny- for this little pink sippy cup- she likes to play with i,t so that is a start!  :)

But the story behind the BIG cup is, that it is one of her favorites!  (This is a cup I got from the Winnie Palmer Hospital when she was born) But, ever since she could see longer distances (from the bed to the nightstand) she was always looking at this cup, (and she was a tiny baby when she started noticing it!)  Now she grabs for it, and Adam and I think it is so funny when she holds it, or tries to get water out of it, b/c it is bigger than she is!  :)

Adorable Baby girl

This particular picture with her cheeks puffed out is one of my favorite looks she gives me. (I want to say she does that b/c her little mouth hurts, due to teething, but it sure is a cute face!!)

These are such adorable faces, that I get the pleasure of seeing everyday!
This is a sweet little video of ALL of Reagan's new milestones in one!  She is now scooting around more, flipping over (a ton) and sitting up!  - She also has a recent attachment to a blankie (shown in the video), it was given to us from Aunt Alyson and she just loves it.  She sleeps with this green blankie and a silky, bunny lovie.  It is so cute how she has this attachment to these two things already!  It is amazing how she picks up on things so quickly. It was only a month ago, when I was trying to introduce this blanket to her, and she had no interest, but now she loves it!  And same with sitting up and crawling, once she figured out how to start, every day she gets better and better at it!  She is so smart, and SO much fun! (Maybe that classical music I play in her room all day long is helping her brain development!)      :)
Enjoy the video, and like ALWAYS: Press PAUSE on the music at the bottom of the page, and then click PLAY on the video!

Tuesday, June 3, 2008

Today was the second day I left Reagan at the gym nursery, and it was right around time for her morning nap.  I was waiting to go to a workout class at around 10:15am and knew she wanted to get some sleep, so I left a little bit early to drive her around a bit, so she could go to sleep and be asleep while I was working out.  (Easier job for the little girl in there working anyway.)  Of course, when I walked into the gym (I guess it was the music, lights, or just her radar)- her eyes opened right up.  I was concerned that she would cry b/c she was so tired, so I told the girl that she prob will take a nap, but to come and get me if she is really fussy and won't go to sleep.  Anyway, Long story short, when I dropped her off, she smiled at all the kids in there and the girl watching her, and she played the whole time!  I promise you, that I probably didn't even make it to the car, before she was OUT like a light!  I think she gets totally pooped from being around other people, and playing so much- this has to be good for her to learn to play with others.  :)

She's sitting up!

Funny story; Adam and I were at a friends house on Sat. afternoon and we were all on the floor playing (their little girl, Trinity, is nearly 5 months old) and while I was getting Trinity to giggle, I wasn't paying attention to Reagan and I just looked over and she was sitting up.  It was almost one of those moments that you look over, she's sitting up, you go back to do what you were doing, and then say, "Oh My Gosh, she is sitting up!"  We both flipped out- she was just sitting here playing and we had no idea- then it dawned on us!  HA!  So, that night we moved the coffee table out of the living room so she could move around all over the floor, and she went from her belly, to crawling position, to sitting up with NO HELP!  Yea, Reagan!!  And last night when she was in her crib, she sat up, and I walked in her room to find her sitting up against one of the sides of her crib! :)  It was funny, b/c she looked like she didn't know exactly what she was doing there!  She is so much fun, it is so neat to see her experience these new milestones.... even though they are all coming a little too fast!  :)  "Don't grow up too fast Reagan!! Mommy wants her little snuggle baby, forever!"

Growing up........

There have been so many different milestones going on here at our house, for myself and for Reagan.  Sunday was my FIRST time to ever leave Reagan with someone, other than her daddy (and all I did was leave her in the nursery at church) After we dropped her off, Adam could tell I was very un-easy about it, and so I left during the singing part to check on her and she was just doing great, on her belly banging on a toy on the floor.  When we picked her up several of the other babies were screaming and she was just hanging out in the swing with her blankie and her thumb.  They said that she was so happy and was wonderful.  :)  It makes me glad to know that she is OK with being in someone else's care- I worried that she would freak out since she was so use to being with me all the time.  So, this morning I decided to use the nursery at our gym (for the first time)- and "she did great" the girl said!  I am glad that I am able to get (away) and work out a little bit while she is also getting use to being around others without her mommy.

Now another BIG thing, that I can't believe I still have not blogged is her new sounds-About 3 weeks, she started saying "MA-MA-MA" (now Adam NEVER hears it), but I hear it all the time, and a friend of mine at Mommy and Me heard her, and said "did she just say Mama?!"  It comes out more of a MMMMM- but to me its a step towards Momma, and I like it.  Although, when I stick her in her crib sometimes she cries b/c she doesn't want to go (at 5 months they already know whats going on, and can begin to get spoiled I guess)- when she screams out "MA-MA-MA-MA" I told Adam I can't stand to leave her when she's hollering out for me.  I suppose it will only get harder when you KNOW they mean MAMA or DADA.

And as you can see in the picture above, she is beginning to CHEESE up when the camera comes out! Hopefully she'll enjoying getting her pictures made- like her Mommy! (So far, so good!)

Bye Bye Mullet.........

These first two pictures were taken on May 13, 2008........

This picture was taken on May 31, 2008 (a few weeks after the top two- looks like its grown a bit!)
Ta-Da!  No more long pony tail!!

As some of you know, Reagan has had a mullet growing for quite sometime, (a VERY long, random strand of hair, NOT growing with the rest of her hair) and it's been one of those weird feelings of wanting to cut it and not wanting to cut it off.  But seeing that Reagan is now beginning to eat solid foods and getting messier- looking at her in a diaper, with a messy face and a "business in the front, party in the back" look, I had to say, "BYE BYE to Mr. Mullet".
A friend of ours said it nicely though- being born to an Alabama man and a Texas woman, we should want to keep this mullet alive, but it just wasn't going to fly- Sorry Sam.  :)
Watch this video (bad lighting, sorry) of me cutting (Billy Ray's) mullet off- technically this would be considered her first hair cut, considering all the hair I cut off!  PAUSE music below and click PLAY - ENJOY
