"Da-Da"s
Sunday morning she said it- "Da-Da". We were waiting for Adam to pick us up after church and she was a bit fussy, and started babbling on and on, and out came the words "Da-Da". Then we were at home while she was said it again, "Da-Da", this time she WAS with Daddy, so it made it very special for Adam! :)
Her favorite word though, right now- is "BA-BA-Ba-Ba"- she REALLY has that down! And she'll say the occasional "Ma-Ma", but not like she knows what it means, just new sounds! But she likes to say them a lot! :)
Dancing Queen
(I HAD videos with this post- but BLOGGER is having trouble uploading them! Sorry!)
My little dancing Queen is so funny- EVERY TIME music is played she bounces up and down. She LOVES music, so we play it all day in the house! Over the weekend we had to pick out a card for her daddy's birthday (which is the 29th) and she danced in the cart- (that was something else new, she sat in the cart for the first time like a BIG GIRL, and LOVED it!) she danced to all the Hallmark cards that play music, it was the funniest thing! I found myself dancing along with her! We looked hilarious, I'm sure- but who cares! :) "GOTTA DANCE!!"
I have signed her up for a KinderMusik class called, "Sign and Sing" and it incorporates "Baby Signs" with music- I'm really getting big into these baby signs so she can communicate before she actually knows how to talk! It should be a wonderful thing, once she starts to learn the signs! Our first class was last Thursday- it is every Thursday for 5 weeks. We learned so much and I cant wait to take her back this next week! I'll try to get some on video, or pictures, but it is so important I pay attention, I'll have to learn the signs, not take pictures! :)

Spaghetti Mess
Our little darling daughter is not very polite when it comes to food. It doesn't seem to matter if she is hungry or not, if anyone around her has food, she WANTS to eat it! Over the weekend we visited our neighbors for dinner and Liz was holding Reagan and eating a chocolate chip cookie, well without the blink of an eye, Reagan reached over and grabbed her cookie- COMPLETELY out of her hands and put it right in her mouth! We laughed so hard it was hilarious! Her hand was covered in chocolate. ........ all girls love chocolate, don't they!? :)
Now, this next story has to do with another snatching of food- except it was Adam's dinner plate of Spaghetti last night. He made us a wonderful dinner and when he sat down to enjoy it, "little fingers" went right over to his place where he was eating (we aren't being real good about eating at the dinner table, we've been eating on the couch to watch the Olympics)- and reached across the ottoman and got a hand full of noodles and sauce and put it right in her mouth! (which the sauce had Tabasco on it! YIKES!)- The Tabasco didn't seem to make her budge one bit, so we stuck her in her highchair to enjoy a little more noodles.
Tub time!
I just love this picture! I was filling up the duckie with water for her bath and she just loved to play with the "water-fall" of water coming down, (I thought she would be scared of the loud sound of the water rushing out, but she wasn't at all!) so I pushed her closer and she just loved to splash in it!
*Note her little rash on her bottom, she has an allergic reaction to something over the weekend, we have no clue what- but it is now gone, thank goodness!
HAPPY 8 MONTH BIRTHDAY, BABY GIRL!
Today for her birthday, we will be hanging out inside watching the rain (all day) we are waiting for Tropical Storm Fay to blow through. So, we'll be here holding down the fort!

The umbrella stroller
I finally went to get an umbrella stroller for "quick" outings that I really don't need the big stroller for. So, I took Reagan and Miami out for a walk a few days ago, and she loved it! She looks like such a big girl in it! I understood "umbrella" to mean with an umbrella (like a shade)- but it doesn't have one, so it's kind of dangerous having it here in FL with the FL sun, so I put her in this little hat! Sweet girl!
Mom's night out!
Sunday night after Adam came home from a trip to Alabama to visit some friends, I had him watch Reagan while I went to a Bridal Shower for my good friend Ashley (right). She will be getting married in Atlanta in October! Congratulations Ashley!
Pictured with Gina (one of the hosts) and Ashley (Bride to be!)
I now have to take pictures of her in all of her little dresses because she can't move around in them! She has trouble crawling b/c the dress is all over her knees, and then she has trouble standing up b/c she is standing on the dress! But, I had to show that she DOES dress up sometimes still! :) This is one of our favorite dresses (with fishies on it!)
Thanks Shanda for this adorable dress!
Self-feeding
We are working on "self-feeding". This top picture is her attempting to stuff all the dissolving puffs in her mouth. :) (whatever works, do it!)
The rest of these pictures are her just being our little cheese-ball posing in her high chair.
Independence....
Reagan has always been very independent on what SHE wants to do (which is very much like her mommy) :) So, as of Sunday morning- she no longer wanted to nurse. Most of you may remember that she began refusing a bottle around 4 weeks old- which made it very difficult for me (having to be the one to feed her ALWAYS)- but as of this past weekend, she decided she wanted to do it herself and feed herself with a bottle! WOW! God is Great- b/c she was starting to BITE a lot while feeding! OUCH! :) She will continue to drink breast milk until a year, but only by bottle or sippy cup!

My First Kiwi!
This morning Reagan and I went swimming for a few hours and came home and she took a 3 hour nap! After her nap I had cut some kiwi and strawberries for a snack and chopped some up for Reagan to try. We are in the process of learning how to self-feed and it is a very messy, but fun event! She is still having trouble figuring out how to grab the food off the tray but sometimes gets something in her mouth!
This was her first time to try Kiwi, and by the look she is giving, I'm not sure she's a huge fan- you be the judge. :)
Click PAUSE on the music on the right hand side then click PLAY on the video- and turned up your volume! :)
Reagan's favorite new look
Reagan's new thing right now is sticking out her tongue- all the time! She looks so pretty, and silly here in her Princess dress (what she wears when we go to Disney) with that tongue! I think it may be her way of figuring out those new teeth on the bottom- they have gotten so big!
Let the show begin......
These pictures were taken when the show started- all three of the girls were in AWE. It was so neat how they did everything. We recently started watching the PlayHouse Disney shows in the mornings (like, Handy Manny, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, Little Einsteins, etc.) and this show was ALL of them in one 22 min long puppet show- and it was so cute how the girls reacted! She looks more scared than anything in these pictures, but I can assure you, that they were all bouncing and loving it! (I even loved it myself!)
We had every intention on watching the Little Mermaid show also, but after this show- it was time for lunch. We fed the babies, they slept while we ate, and then by that time we were ready to call it a day. Short but sweet- and that's the way it goes with a little one, and one a HOT summer day.
Waiting for PlayHouse Disney to start.....
Little Daisy and Reagan waiting for the show to start.....
Nothing like a little BACK sweat while at Disney... (lady in the background in pink shirt) HAHA! I would have liked to have cropped that out, but I couldn't.

Me and my baby girl!

Thursday we met up with Cindy and Daisy and Sonya and Gabriella to go to Hollywood Studios at Disney World and watch the PlayHouse Disney show! I have always wanted Reagan to see it, but she is asleep every time we passed by, so I hoped that this time around she would be able to enjoy it! We took her daddy to the airport that morning to go visit some friends in Alabama and then we met up with the girls for our fun filled trip to Disney!!

Universal Studios, Here We Come!!
Mom and Dad on there way out the door to Universal!
This week was Adam's vacation, so Monday we had our friend Tracy (and daughter Grace) come over to babysit while Adam and I made it our FIRST official "date day" since Reagan had been born. It was so much fun! I have not been so excited about getting to a theme park to ride the rides in I don't know how long! We were so pumped and when we bought our tickets we paid a little extra to get the "VIP Express Pass" which guarantees us "Express Pass" lines at every ride in the park- so, the longest we had to wait was prob about 10-15 min on everything! It was so nice to get to be "VIP".
Apparently the girls had fun too- as you can see, I don't think Reagan missed me one bit! When we came home Tracy gave us a good report telling us that she didn't cry once! Thank you, Reagan for being such a good girl while I worried the whole time that you were upset I was gone! :) And Thank you Adam, for such a fun filled day of laughs, love, and excitement! Let's do it again real soon!

Happy Summer Olympics, Everyone!
This is a pretty cool picture b/c this is a baseball hat that Adam got when in Beijing in 2005. I have found out how observant I am b/c I NEVER noticed it to say 2008. He just pointed it out to me the other night, and some friends of ours noticed it that same night! (It's kind of funny writing so maybe I just never could read it!) Anyway, Adam has had this hat for over 3 years- knowing all along where the Olympics- starting TODAY would be!
Pretty cool history huh!? :)

While at the Country Club we let them play on the grassy area and crawl around a little (the grass wasn't real, so it was nice and soft- which poor Reagan, has little bruises on her knees from our hard wood floors.) Even though they had all this space to crawl around on, all they wanted to do was eat the leaves! Yummy! Nothing like a nice leaf after a long swim!
Let's all do the "HEAD TILT"
More pictures of Reagan's adorable "head tilt!" Too Funny! I am going to ask her pediatrician though, next week- to make sure nothing is wrong with her ear (Jenny wondered if maybe her ear hurt). She does seem to keep doing it on the same side, but I think it is her way of getting attention, b/c every time she does it we say, "AWE!" or give her a little giggle- but it's better to be safe than sorry!
Swimming at the Country Club with Carter
"This is just a BIG HUGE bath tub! Weird!!"
Friday we went to the Orlando Country Club with Jenny and Carter (nearly 10 months old) to play for a few hours! We had such a great time! This was Reagan's first time in a "baby" pool where she can just sit on her own and play. It took her a little bit of time to get warmed up to the idea, as she watched Carter crawl around on the water. Click PAUSE on the right hand side for the music and then Click PLAY to watch the video.
(I would have loved to have gotten more video and better pictures, but it was tricky not dropping the camera in the water!) ;)
Peek-A-Boo, Look what I can do!!!
GOOF-BALL
After our play date Reagan was such a little goof-ball! :) She had missed her afternoon nap, and now days, when she misses a nap she is very hyper active! These were just a few pictures I took after we got home!
Hanging with my buddies.....
Reagan and I met a few of our friends in Winter Park on Thursday afternoon for lunch.
(Miss Trinity, and Grace).
Our plans were to have a picnic ,but with the daily rain storms here during the afternoons, we were unable to have the picnic so we just hung out in the back room of this cute restaurant called Brandy Wine. The girls were so much fun, they snacked and played and "sang" (more like screams, but singing sounds cuter!) Nearing the end of our "play-date" I pulled out the camera to try to get a few good (bloggable) pics- we stood them up on the table and tried to get their attention, while staying out of the picture and it was very difficult as you can see! :) But they still look cute as pie! :)
