Lounging in the TUB

We started bathing Reagan in the tub without the "infant" netting- and she just sits in it like it is a hot tub!  Tonight when I sat her in it, I called Adam to get the camera quick, b/c she looked so comfy, almost as an adult would in a hot tub!  Hilarious- with her little arm over the side! ... (and ribs poking out!)

Biter Biscuits, and Bread!

It's funny how out of nowhere, all Reagan wants to do is eat EVERYTHING- and so I got her some of those biter biscuits and she love them! Was a complete mess literally from hair to .... almost feet!
And today at lunch she was fussing, so I just gave her the entire loaf of bread- that kept her busy for a bit!  HA!  She was happy for a good 10 min. sucking on the bread loaf!- Very cute, and messy!

Epcot Firework show!!

Reagan's First Firework show!
It was pretty startling for her, but she thought it was amazing to see FIRE in the air, with all of those colors!!   :)  .... guess this was a little prep for the Fourth of July soon to come!

SMILE! You're at Disney World!

My big girl in her Disney Princess TuTu was all smiles- all day at Disney!
....... chocolate stain on dress was from me!  I had her in the the front carrier, and HAD to have a chocolate Mickey Ice Cream bar, and (of course) I dropped some right on her dress, while she was sleeping! HA!  I tried as best as I could to get it off- but it just needed to be washed!  :)

First Disney Trip, Sunday May 25th 2008

Reagan's FIRST time to Disney World (except for when she was in my tummy) and this is her excitement as we stepped in the gate!  (She fell asleep about 5 min later)

Here she is ASLEEP, AGAIN- After watching the Finding Nemo Show (my good friend was Nemo that day and got us seats, so we didn't have to stand in line)- she watched the entire thing in awe!!- she was extremely tired though, and after it was over- she was out like a light!
This is us backstage waiting to meet Gina after the show.
Adam and Reagan in the "African trails"- we got to see BIG tigers, very close!!
Zana, Reagan and I in front of Everest- looks cold, with all of those palm trees in the background!  :)
Pretty Princess, Reagan- she was all smiles, and her personality really began coming out this weekend!- This little (tutu) Disney "Princess" dress is from McClain, she looked precious!

Sunday afternoon we decided to head out to Disney World to hang out at Epcot and see the countries and just relax.  With it being Memorial weekend, we knew it would be a busy day so we didn't plan to do much but just check out the park.  Epcot is having their annual Flower and Garden Festival all throughout the park, so it was beautiful to see all the characters made out of flowers, everywhere!  Look below at the collage of some of the pictures Adam took- everything is made of flowers!!  Very neat!

Zana and Reagan

On Saturday afternoon, Adam, Reagan and I took Zana out to Celebration, (one of our favorite places to take visitors) for lunch and to walk around the little shops.  We had a really great lunch, and a HUGE rain storm!  (Of course, Adam and I left the umbrella at home)- but we were able to find an adorable baby shop across the street from where we ate to shop around in, until the rain let up!- (P.S.- the shop is going out of business in less than one month and everything in the store is on sale for 50% off ; Lollipop Cottage, just in case anyone locally is interested!)
After the short down-pour it turned out to be a beautiful day and we just lounged back at home for the rest of the evening!

New SONG!

In celebration of SUMMER on its way; We have changed the blog song to a fun ALABAMA themed, summer song- by Kid Rock.
ENJOY!

Reagan is pictured here, in one of my summer outfits and bonnet when I was a baby!  That outfit is one month away from being 23 years old!

New video with the "Scooting Baby" blog- BELOW!!

Reagan's First Solid- Rice Cereal

Well, this has been a BIG few days for Reagan to take in- My Mom (Zana) came into town yesterday afternoon and we played all afternoon and then introduced rice cereal to her yesterday evening! She is so petite, that this highchair swallows her! But how cute does she look?!  In the video, you can see that he first taste of the cereal wasn't very delicious- but after she ate again this morning she seems to like it better!  It will definitely take some getting use to (I can only imagine) but she is such a sport and figuring it out, VERY, VERY well!  (They only thing I can't seem to do, is get her to keep her thumb out of her mouth during feeding time!- But, I'm guessing that comes with practice!  :) The video was filmed in her bumbo chair b/c we hadn't finished putting the highchair together, until later- but the pictures are from this morning breakfast!- PAUSE music below and press PLAY to hear video!!

President Babies

John Kennedy ("They call him JACK), Carter, and Reagan
"Jack" was born on Presidents day (3 months old), Carter is 7 months old and Reagan is 5!

Must do Red, White and Blue for this BLOG- you will not believe how cute this is, in my Mommy and Me class there are 3 babies with Presidents names!  coincidence?!  Who knows!  But, these kids may all be running for the Presidential election one day! Look out Hilary- Reagan isn't far behind you!  :)  She may be the first woman president!  Adam and I may have a world leader on our hands!  HAHA!

Some friends with Reagan

This is Reagan and my good friend McClain Kitchens (pictured in the black and white).  McClain was my roommate when I moved down to Orlando in 2003.  She has just returned from working 7 months at Disney Land in Hong Kong and will be moving to NYC in June!  Good Luck McClain!  We want you to get a show, so we can come watch!!!  Love you!

This color picture is my good friend Lindsay Blanton from Pensacola- we worked together in a Halloween show at Sam's Fun City in Oct. 2006.  We really hit it off and have (tried) to keep in touch ever since! She happened to be in town this week, so we met for lunch so she could meet Reagan!
She is a wonderful singer and is working on an album that should be completed soon- when it is out in stores, you all have to go buy one!  She's amazing!  Watch for her, she'll be a star one day!
I have some beautiful and wonderfully talented friends!  :)  Good Luck Girls!

Won't be Long!

"Look out Mom and Dad, I'm about to start crawling!!"  ......... just last night Reagan started scooting all over the bed after the remote control- I could move it all around and she would get up on her knees, rock back and forth, and then leap to grab it.  I tried it with her on the carpet and she didn't do it as well as she did on the soft, comforter, but my goodness, it really will not be long and she'll be all over the place! I joke with Adam that one day I'll lay her on the floor and turn around and she'll be gone, b/c when I find her in her crib, she is always on those knees- it's like she is practicing!- in this video I was using her book, the remote, and my cell phone as incentive to crawl (or scoot) to! *She is such a HAMM too, when she sees the camera!

Attentive listener.......

Gymboree..... Look at ME

This was the parachute time, we all played under the parachute and sang lots of songs! I really liked the instructor and Reagan seemed to like it a lot too!  It does, however, look like it would be more fun for them as they are bigger- to run and jump and play!
As you can see in the video ABOVE (don't forget to PAUSE the music at the bottom, then press play for the video)- Reagan is very attentive when in class!  Hopefully she will keep this up when she starts grade school, and won't suffer from ADD like Adam and I!  HAHA! She enjoyed the class today, even though it was her nap time- she didn't fuss at all!  Gymboree offers a free class to check and see if you want to enroll and my friend Lisa and I went today in the 3-6 month age range class, and the instructor thought our babies were a little too advanced for that class (seeing that Reagan wanted to crawl away most of the time!) So, she offered for us to try out the older class (I'm guessing 6-9 months) for FREE!  .... NICE!!
                                             "Reagan's Here!"

BIG Grin!!

Long time, No BLOG!

Hello everyone!
I am so sorry it has nearly been one week, since I have last blogged!  Things have been really busy around here this past weekend while Adam was away on another one of his fishing trips!
He arrived home on Sunday evening with more AWESOME fish stories- he has some really, unbelievable video footage of a hammer-head shark attacking the tarpon they had on the line- which will be blogged soon! Another successful fishing trip.... no 200 pounder, but he had lots of fun and said it was a wonderful experience!
Poor Reagan had an adventure this weekend- Saturday morning she woke up with mosquito bites all around her right eye, right ear, and on her neck!  I found a mosquito just hanging out in her room!  UGH! (I've read that they like colorful stuff, which would explain why he liked her BRIGHT room!)- I took her to the pharmacy and they told me what to put on them, so they won't itch and that seemed to reduce the redness, but he fussiness was awful all weekend, possibly due to her teething along with the bites itching and her not knowing what to do! She had a bit of a cough, runny nose, etc. so I expected it was her teeth coming through, but yesterday I wanted to call the Dr. to see if what I was using (as in Tylenol) was enough, OK, what!? .... and my nurse suggested coming in to get her checked out to make sure she didn't have an ear infection (all the same symptoms as a cold/ teething)- so we went in yesterday afternoon to find out; her ears were nice and clear, she weighed 13.13lbs, her head had grown a bit (its been on the small side), she WAS probably teething, but it would be "awhile" (the Dr. said) before we would see teeth (LOVELY, she is in soo much pain and it could be for a few more months before the tooth even comes through! YUCK!)- So, my intuition was correct on the teething (which I was glad about) and she is perfectly healthy, just fussy- and the bug bites are going to be fine, Dr. just told me to continue putting the same med. on them and they should go away!
So, long story short, we're glad to have Daddy home and we're all healthy!!
Today, Reagan and I are going to try out Gymboree class (at a church near our house) they sing songs, play games, etc. (I think it will be more exciting for her as she gets older, where she can run and play) but this is a trial class to check it out!  Then we'll be anticipating Zana (my Mom) coming into town on Thursday! We have our last Mommy and Me and Yoga on Thursday as well!  It's a busy week! ...... And I will begin to blog pictures, as soon as I can find the camera in Adam's bag ...... somewhere!  XOXO

Sunny days!

While outside playing with Miami yesterday, I took some sweet pictures of Reagan watching her.  She is totally in awe of the dog right now! She loves to giggle at her, and watch her run around the house/ yard!  She'll do a 360 just to see where she is going! It is really funny!
We went to Mommy and Me for our second to last class yesterday and she weighed 13.11 lbs! She is growing so much!  They say that the baby needs to have doubled her birth weight by 6 months and coming up on 5 months at nearly 14 pounds, she'll make that mark for sure, YEA!  She's beginning to grow so long, she won't fit in her rocker much longer!  I use the rocker to feed her before bed and she is longer than it!  :)  Her poor little legs just dangle off the side!  But it is very sweet!
She is beginning to get those teeth- I'm positive.  She has her fussy times throughout the day, but mostly at night- and she just screams and bites on anything that is in sight! Thanks Mom, for the teething rings- she loves those!
She is just getting brighter as each day goes by- really getting familiar with her excersaucer and just loves it!
Adam will be leaving again, for the Keys for another fishing trip (most likely  won't catch a 200 lb. fish, like he did last time)- but we'll pray that he does!

My little cheese ball!

CHEESE BALL, REAGAN!

Reagan practicing "the crawl"

It doesn't look like it will be long, before Reagan starts crawling (I'm not ready for it!) But, she has just lately, started pushing up her little hiney in the air and bouncing up and down- before too long she'll be off!  .... better watch out Miami!  :)

Mommy and Reagan

Reagan and Mommy at Universal's City Walk over the weekend!  There was so much to see and going on around her, she was totally over-stimulated!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

My first Mother's Day was wonderful!  Adam surprised me with a beautiful David Yurman, blue topaz, diamond ring (which is one of the 13 different birthstones for Reagan's b-day month, December) and a wonderful lunch and dinner!  We went to church and just spent all day together playing and loving being a family!  This is a video of Reagan on Mother's Day morning in her crib - she loves watching her mobile go round and round, she loves smiling at her daddy, and she loves eating those toes!!  (Don't forget to pause the music at the bottom to hear this video!)  Enjoy! ..........  Oh, and I changed the song back to "We Are Family", b/c it got too depressing!  :)  ...SORRY!!  ;)

Reagan's First Balloon Animal

Last night Adam and I took Reagan to Universal Studios to eat at Margaritaville and there was a man on stilts making balloon animals and funny balloon hats.  Reagan was intrigued by this TALL man (she had never seen anything like him before!)  He was sweet to make her a little balloon poodle!  She wanted to eat it right away! (Nothing like giving your 4 month old a dirty balloon to chew on!)  :)

One sweet note....

I wanted to mention something I had forgotten to eariler about our week.  Yesterday we had the pleasure of going to the Mom and Baby Yoga class again, and this time Reagan was a charm! Thanks Baby Girl!  I was able to get a wonderful, relaxing workout in, while she played on the floor with her many toys- and I do mean MANY, since last week she was a bit fussy, and got bored, I brought nearly all the toys in the house! HA!  That kept her busy this time!  It's not hard to loose her attention anymore though, now that she is beginning to learn new things!  But one thing is for sure- she loves to eat her feet!
Also, today when I was laying her down for her nap, she put both thumbs in her mouth at the same time- I have blogged a pic of this once before (but that was when she was younger and REALLY didn't know how to find her thumb yet) the funny thing about her doing it yesterday, is that she can always find her thumb now (doesn't matter which one) but at this particular moment, she wanted BOTH- it was very sweet!
And on a side note, b/c she has found her little tootsies, she has now found something new to do while in the car seat! When she finds her big toe, it gives me some extra driving time!  HAHA!

Month of May, Belated Birthday Shout Out!

Happy BELATED Birthday:
May 3rd, 2008; Aunt Peg and AJ Handy
May 4th, 2008; Cousin "Dear"
May 9th, 2008; Glenn Little

Now, that we have such a large family and friend fan base, I thought I needed to start the "Happy Birthday" note ........... hopefully when YOUR birthday rolls around, I REMEMBER that I'm doing this! .... but no promises! :)   HAHA!
Love to all!

New Song!

I'm sure MOST (if not all of you), are ready for the "We Are Family" song to go! HAHA! But it will return, don't worry! - I have found a new song by Steven Curtis Chapman that is beautiful about a little girl and her Daddy- I wanted to bring it to your attention, so be SURE to listen to all of these wonderful lyrics!  **Get a tissue, it's a tear jerker!  (For me especially!)
And the second song, by Trace Adkins, is a wonderful song about a Mom and her little ones!  Those lyrics are great too!

Excersaucer video

Remember to pause the music at the bottom of the screen to hear the video.  The exersaucer is Reagan's new stage- we aren't quite tall enough to stand completely up in it yet (even though the box says 4 months, and she's in the 95% height for her age), but she loves it- as you can see in the video she loves this smiley sun rattle......... so much it upsets her!  :)   Enjoy!!

Mother's Day Luncheon

                                      Pink and Blue blankies!
                                         Blank stares!
This picture with the links is one of my favorites!

On Tuesday morning my "Mom's Meeting Mom's" group, had a Mother's Day luncheon.  They provided lunch and we just got to talk amongst ourselves, as usual about whatever was going on with our babies, etc.  (usually its about the babies..... I wonder why!?)  :)
My good friend Lisa, whom I met through these Mommy classes and her son Alex (born two days before Reagan) were there, and we couldn't help but make this adorable convo that they were having into pictures! .... and yes, it would have been Reagan to be doing MOST of the talking!...... but I think little Alex has a bit of a crush!  ;)  You tell me!

Adam's trip to the Keys-

Adam and Logan with the barracuda!  Check out those sharp teeth!

Logan Moon and "Goot" with a lemon shark!

Hello All!  Sorry it has been awhile since I have last blogged!  We have been busy here at the Haynes house since Adam has returned from his fishing trip to the Keys!  We are all in such excitement with his "BIG" catch!  His friend Logan actually took the pictures to a fishing store (in North Carolina) and they said they believe that this Tarpon is a World Class Fish- they had never seen anything like it.
We wanted to post these pics from their trip as well!  They didn't JUST catch a 200 lb. tarpon, they caught a shark and barracuda! Way to go guys!  Y'all are really great fisherman!!
With all this fun, fishing talk in the air- I found an adorable "My First Tackle Box" (by Baby Gund) with squeaky fish, a rod with a Velcro ball to catch the fish and a worm!  Very cute for Adam's future fisher girl!

HUGE TARPON!

Captain Logan Moon

Awesome news!  I received a text late last night from Adam saying that HE caught a "HUGE TARPON" and it took 5 hr. and 18 min. to reel in!  He thinks it weighed about 200 lbs.-
I'm so glad he is having a great time and actually catching something!  YEA!

Sippy Cup SPLASH

I went out and bought a sippy cup today, to try with Reagan. She has really seemed to be interested in cups lately, wanting to hold whatever I am drinking and she even tries to take the cup to her mouth and drink from it. Now, to my excitement I wanted to try a cup as soon as possible- since she SILL isn't taking a bottle. (The pediatrician suggests waiting until 6 months to introduce the sippy cup, but I couldn't wait another month and a half, so I thought I'd try it out). I had fun looking at the many cups at Toys "R" Us today and found this one that is "3 stages" - bottle, cup, ... and something else, don't know what. Anyway, after her nap I fixed her sippy cup with some milk in it and we play for awhile and she grabbed right onto it! - she didn't even care that it was like a bottle nipple she loved to be in control and hold it! She even drank an ounce or two from it! These pics were taken from my cell phone too, so they aren't very clear- but notice the bottom picture- she was covered in milk! HA! It splashed all over her eye! She seemed to have liked it today, hopefully she will like it tomorrow!
